This photo is so beautiful and is so powerful that it seems about to speak and tell you a story.
I just discovered your two blogs and I am getting lost in all the beauty of your pictures. I think I prefer the color one though.
It's just a personal opinion of course, I find your B&W photos very beautiful too. But sometimes it's a pity to miss some shades... For example in a case like this it would have been a shame to miss that pink hat, wouldn't it? :-) I love it.

Thanks for your wonderful comment, Al. I am obsessed with black and white photos but many people prefer the color blog for the same reason that you mentioned. And I agree about the pink hat! I took this photo intending to display it in color but I kind of liked the B&W version too. But the B&W was definitely a last minute thing. Again, thanks for stopping by.

I agree with the previous comment: b&w is forgiving (for example it forgives overexposure) but it would have been a pity to miss on that pink hat!

Yes,the pink hat, the pink theme that continues on the other side of the river, on "pier 17" building...

i really like this one! the pink hat makes an amazing contrast between the over-exposed background.. and i like the position of the subject, in the angle but in the centre of the attention!
kisses :)
