The girl is gorgeous. You did a great job capturing her essence, on the first picture... she seems so innocent and sweet.
Beautiful pictures!:)

ps! have a nice week;)

I think definitely the colour version. Especially the first one. You can see the warmth in her face and how the tones in her face, the scarf and the building behind all kind of tie in. I think the colour is more interesting. What a gorgeous girl!

most certainly the colour versions... while black and white remains a classic way to portray a subject, i personally feel that colour allows us to fully appreciate your subject's beauty- her full rosy lips and deep brown eyes, as well as the interest contrast and complementary nature created by the colours in the background, particularly the similar tones in the red brick building and the autumn colours in her scarf :)

absolutely supurb phots, you're so lucky to have found such a serene subject with which to portray your talents :)

This is great but my verdict is with b/w.

Go with colour! She's too beautiful to be in b/w..

The color is subtle but amazing. Her style is off the hook, and you've captured her beauty, youth and style with such aplomb. (dude, i just got to casually drop the aplomb bomb in a conversation...me likey!)

You have such a magic touch! Now I have to go back to the b&w to see if it's the same shot.. the 2nd one, the way those two guys are in soft focus in the background.. you know I normally love your black & white, but in this case, the colour is so subtle.. I'm voting for colour.

Thank you for your recent comments, esp. today. I felt really torn about posting that - didn't think of the moral responsibility, just liked the light - so it meant so much to get your comment.

As for the girl's girl thing, I feel the same way. My friendships with some women over the years have been so fraught - women can be such hard work - and I find men in general so much easier. I'm definitely a guy's girl and maybe only in recent years learning how to be a girl's girl.

Wish I could see the portraits of your teacher! Interesting challenge for you, I know you normally like to shoot unobserved. Invisibly.

is she Kemp Muhl?? She looks totally like her anyway...

I would cast my vote for the colour - I lOVE the first one. I really love b&w, but I think the way the muted rust tones of the bricks behind juxtapose with the colours in her scarf... (Does that even make sense??) I so enjoy your pics, they are stunning, & getting more so with every post. ;-D xxo

i think i prefer the colour shots. i am always drawn towards the photodiarist in colour for some reason. i love how the shades in the brick building mirror her scarf and bag. the horizontal stripes of her leggings against the sidewalk and next to the railing. plus the warm green tree in the background. also the carmelly shades in her boots... yah, i think the colours are really beautiful in the shots. i vote colour. and she is absolutely gorgeous - such a cool outfit she's wearing! xx

The girl is absolutely gorgeous! And I would go for a color version.

She's gorgeous!! I usually follow your B&W blog but I got to this link through your recent post. I would totally go for the color photos! You did a great job in capturing her!

Love this in color too! She is so beautiful and her clothes are so much more interesting in color. I vote color:) Great work as usual!
Xx
