New York: Washington Square Park
Inspiration: Magnolias are one of my favorite flowers. I go crazy every Spring photographing them. I am literally in Magnolia Heaven. The composition is non-existent in these photos because all that matters are the colors and shapes of the flowers.

Inspiration: I am always grateful for the colorful people of New York. They contribute so much to the city's diversity and vitality!

Inspiration: Even though the weather is still cold and wet, I cannot help but smile when I see these signs of Spring.

Inspiration: I normally don't do this. I don't normally snap photos of people sharing an intimate moment with food. Eating is not an action one can do in a picture-worthy way, especially if one wants to enjoy his or her food. But, if I waited for her to finish, I might have been standing there for a while given the size of that sandwich. So, I broke my rule (which I am sure that I've broken before) and snapped (and now have posted) this photo because I fell in love with the combination of pink hearts, sparkly tights and purple shoes.

Inspiration: I don't often see bright, buttery, yellow leather jackets being worn about town. Most of the New York tribe wear black or brown. So a yellow jacket sighting is worth a photograph. It's a presage of Spring, I think.
Inspiration: As I relaxed in the crowded square enjoying the beautiful weather, I saw a flash of purple, the movement of a furry vest and the highlights of the sun in the background. I captured three photos, one of which I've posted on The Photodiarist. But this one captured her somewhat pensive mood best, which contrasts starkly with the exuberance of the guy in the background.
New York: 58th Street and 5th Avenue
Inspiration: I had to go to the Apple Store during lunch, so I thought I would stop by Bergdorfs to see what those windows had in store for me. As usual, I am never disappointed by Bergdorf's window display. Alas, I had no camera but for the one on my i-phone. Some swear by their i-phone pics, but the background noise (in film, it would have been called "grain") usually irks me. I have to admit, however, that I rather like the effect of the noise in this series. Even so, I plan to return to Bergdorf's tomorrow or on Saturday with my "Big Momma" camera.

Inspiration: Bergdorf Goodman creates some of the best window displays in the city. Here's my i-phone's take on one of the store's windows and the way it reflects the new spring looks.

Inspiration: I was without my regular camera today so I snapped this with my i-phone, hence the "noise" in the background. Nevertheless, I love the collage/painting effect, especially the way the mannequin's left shoulder disappears into the building.
New York: Central Park
Inspiration: I am definitely someone who loves dark monochrome colors, but in Winter, I am grateful for those who wear bright colors, especially reds. Our eyes need some cheer when grays and whites cover the land.
