Inspiration: She may be a model. I am not sure. If she isn't, then she should be. Her bare face is so stunning and "model-esque" to me. And I like her style - including her vest.  There. I said it. I like her fur vest. A lightning bolt is likely to strike me down after that admission and PETA and my BFF are probably going to come and get me if the lightning bolt misses! 

Mix and Match

Inspiration: This is the kind of quirky/cool/mix and match vintage style that I have never been able to cultivate. My camera and I were both fascinated by her.

Inspiration: Her blues make me happy! For those of you who are black and white photography aficionados, I've posted a shot of her on The Photodiarist. I love black and white, but in this case, the color photo moves me so much more.

Portraits: Scarfed

New York: 6th Avenue and 42nd

Inspiration: A number of things led me to ask for her photograph. Mainly, it was her cool but friendly attitude. Not to mention her easy breezy haircut.  Also, the way she folded her scarf around her neck so that it highlighted her face perfectly. As well as the sheen of the black coat against the matte of her bright sweatshirt.

Inspiration: You've seen her before. Each of The Sartorialist and Garance Dore have already photographed and blogged about her. But here she is in another light - a totally candid one.

Portraits: Hat Head

New York: Bryant Park

Inspiration: I am totally into hats. But I never seem to wear them well - I think that my noggin is just too large as it is, and then when you add a hat . . . well, you get the picture. So, to sate my craving for a lovely hat-head, I photograph people who wear hats well, the way she does.

From A Distance

New York: Coney Island, Brooklyn

Inspiration: I posted a similar photo on The Photodiarist. After staring at one and then the other, I actually think that I prefer the color shot, but only marginally. The black and white photo exudes a desolate and more powerful feeling. But the color version possesses a delicate quality, which is not usually present in my work.
