Not One But Two

Cold Spring

Inspiration: It's been a chilly spring so far.  But I hear that warm weather is around the corner! In any event, my big project is over (on to the next one) but I am still in no mood to do much of anything that doesn't involve a couch or a bed! During the last part of the project, we stayed up for 33 hours straight to get it done by the deadline!

Columns

New York: Soho

Inspiration: I know that I have really been neglectful of my blog . . . but I have been really really (add ten more "reallys" to that) busy at work.  For weeks, I have been staring at a jumble of words, tables, columns and rows, tables and charts and trying to make sense of every thing in this project. But in the bits and pieces of spare time that I've squirreled out of my crazy weeks, I've taken a photo or two or three. So I just don't have much to post. This one is actually from my archives. I am attracted to this photo because I've been staring at charts for so long, with column after column after column.  Except that these are beautiful!

On Orchard Street

New York: Orchard Street

Inspiration: One of the coolest things about photographing buildings in New York, especially below 14th street, is capturing the way the fire-escapes line the faces of buildings. They create such terrific patterns and texture.

Out and About

New York: Astor Place

Inspiration: It's warm today and everyone is out and about. Hopefully, this weather will stick around for a while.

Playing To Darkness

Inspiration: One of my staple subject matters . . . one of the sax men in Central Park in his usual spot playing the same tunes.
