Cooltitude

New York: Lincoln Center

Inspiration: I love how he was just feeling his cooltitude.  This is just one of several very glam poses he gave me.  On another note, I am sorry for writing so little these days.  And my visits to all of my favorite blogs are practically nil at the moment  . . . all because my job and other projects are simply kicking my a## down the street.  Practically every second is tagged with something to do.  In 30 minutes, I will be in a car heading to the airport for a day trip to visit a client. Then I must give a huge presentation tomorrow and another on Saturday afternoon.  I am literally existing on fumes these days. Well, a girl has got to pay for her camera equipment, right?  So work she must! 

Trenched Out

New York: Hudson Street

Inspiration: Although I have a few already, I am always drawn to a great trench like hers. Donning one is the way to perfect an outfit, I think.

Inspiration: Kid (or Play -- I can't remember anymore) is back in the house.

On The Bowery

New York: Bowery and Bond Streets

Inspiration: I was heading to the art store nearby when the most fiery head of hair turned a corner and started walking in front of me.  I was so taken with the color that I blurted out "love love your hair."  She stopped and let me take a few photos.  She has a great smile too.  So check out The Photodiarist in Color to see what I am talking about. I don't think you are expecting this much fire.

Big Fur

New York: Lincoln Center

Inspiration: This photo kinda fits into my shadow series, albeit taken a couple of months ago! Her fur is dazzlingly white and just so huge. When I first saw it, I feared it was swallowing her alive. But then I realized that she was indeed in control of the thing.

Inspiration: And now we are on the Brooklyn Bridge where awesome shadows abound.

New York: 14th Street between Third and Fourth Avenues

Inspiration: Third out of four photos in my "shadow" series.  I like this one because it's 80% black with just a few shots of light peeking into this urban tunnel.  Not to mention the lines.  Love the lines.

Inspiration: I told you I was chasing shadows on Sunday afternoon.  Here's another shot from that chase. I love the complexity of this one.

Shadows and Stairwells

New York: Soho

Inspiration: I went out with my camera and no particular subject in mind.  What did I end up with?  A bunch of shadows.  Seriously.  This is only the first of a few shots depicting the shadows of things.  That said, I do love the geometric lines and the patterns formed by rows of buildings with rows of emergency stairs and wideness of my 35mm (I've been carrying the 70-200 forever, so I got used to a certain kind of "wide").

Bergdorf Windows: Hello Lobster Head . . .

New York: Bergdorf Goodman

Inspiration: BG's windows amuse me to no end. I love their inventive, quirky but always beautiful window displays.  Barney's is my favorite store in which to shop but BG's windows blow Barney's away. Maybe that will change now that Madame Roitfeld will be curating Barney's windows in the future.
