Inspiration: I haven't been doing as many portraits lately because I've been too slow/lazy to stop people and ask. But when I walked by this lovely girl chilling out in the bitter cold warmed by this gorgeous scarf-hood-snood, I felt compelled to seek her photograph. The light was gorgeous and she was an absolutely patient and sweet subject. Not to mention that I've been hankering for a hoodie like this since I spied something similar on the head of the fabulous Tamu, creator of the blog, All the Pretty Birds. Doesn't it look snuggly and warm? If you want some color, check out her portrait on The Photodiarist in Color.
nice one!

That light is superb! She radiates.

She has such a sweet, Disney kind of look to her in contrast to her cig. I LOVE this shot and I think it's awesome you cropped in such a way.
It's quite chilly here. With all the snow we've been having, we've been spoiled by mild temperatures so far in Jan.

Stunning photograph as always -- but this time, I think I love the color version more. The black and white, while beautiful, doesn't really show off the icy crispness of the light.

She looks straight out of the 50's. What a beautiful portrait!

She really does appear to embody the sweetness and patience you mentioned. Talking to her is probably easy. And I bet she has such wonderful stories to tell. I love that the light provides a halo. A stunning portrait.
