Beautiful composition, and it sums up my experience for far too long here in London. I came here to say 'welcome home' and I can feel your sadness at leaving that warm, sunny, exotic world you've been graciously sharing with us.
I'm not wild about snow, either. It looks pretty for about 10 minutes til it turns to dirty slush (in NY esp.) I just basically spend most of my life waiting for summer. Altho, that said, it snows here so rarely, it is a treat. But give me warm weather & a body of water to swim in, and I'm a happy camper!
Anyway, glad you're home safe & sound, PD.

Jill -- glad to hear from you! Thanks for the good wishes. Thank goodness we New Yorkers woke up to a lovely (albeit windy) day after all of that rain. I know all about London -- have been there a few times in the winter (and summer) and all I get is rain, rain, rain.

IT'S SO DEPRESSING COMING FROM A SUNNY PLACE TO A RAINY ONE! GRRR

Is this at Strawberry Fields?
I recently left NYC & your lovely photographs are a touching reminder of some of the familiar things I've left behind... thank you.
