Inspiration: It was terrific to meet Imogen Roy, the blogger behind Eight. BFF gave me the teal blue fur stole that she bought when we went to Argentina six years ago (wow . . . time flies). I have a mind to wear it in the same insouciant way that Imogen wears hers.

Inspiration: Need I say more? I am really embracing brilliant color these days (way behind everyone else, of course). Her red jeans and red/orange wedges make a simple and casual outfit quite glamorous and chic.

Inspiration: Really like how Stephanie LaCava pairs a tough leather vest (Rick Owens maybe) with a lacy slip skirt. I never tire of the juxtaposition of hard and soft, masculine and feminine, high and low, day-wear and evening-wear. Opposites attract!

Inspiration: My recently remembered love of color is taking over. Neutrals will always be my go-to comfort zone but intense color like the yellow of her dress is simply intoxicating. By the way, she really stood out at the Ann Demeulemeester show, which was, quite frankly, a black and gray sea!

Inspiration: There was a moment when I was really young when I just hearted jumpsuits. LOVED them. And color too - both brights and pastels. And anything whimsical and weird. Then I grew up and got all practical, corporate and working girl. These days, exhausted by the unceasing blackness and practicality of the contents of my closet, I find myself floating backwards to those days when I loved color and romantic character driven clothes and that other old obsession: jumpsuits. So much so that I purchased a floral jumpsuit at Paul and Joe in Paris a month ago. Totally not practical. So cannot wear it to work (even though BFF insists that I can). And somewhat man-repelling, I think. Ah well. Taking it out on its maiden voyage today. I'll probably come home in the middle of the day to change but maybe not (just realizing that because of my deep sleep after pulling a nutty all-nighter at work on Thursday night/Friday morning, it is the middle of the day already).
