An Afternoon in Florence

Florence: Somewhere . . . I can't quite remember.

Inspiration: I took this, along with many others, using my Iphone while enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon in Florence engaging in il dolce far niente - the sweetness of doing nothing. Sadly, that sweetness is a memory as I wake up these days, now home in New York, with long lists of things to do already formed in my dreams.

The Photodiarist

I am a diarist of ordinary moments that move me. I gravitate towards black and white photography but still celebrate color. I love the candid capture but respect the power of the choreographed moment. I study the rules of phos+graphis but am compelled periodically to ignore them.
