Wow, they sure are impressive!
xx

As a violin player, I can tell you that delicate wrists and flighty fingers are much more important than arms of steel...but arms of steel are an inspiration to keep your arms from jiggling when you're moving your bow! Great pic!

and i'm guessing she is a keen yoga practitioner. great photo!

Oh my, impressive! She has been practicing a lot! Great blog!

xoxo Despite color

She's a true beauty. Very impressive.

But no to the necessity. I've seen a lot of wobbly arms in Leipzigs orchestras.

Thanks for stopping by.

wow...who knew playing violin has side benefits like that!

Great photo....I really need to get the weights out of the closet!

Amazing arms. I've seen cellists and Japanese drummers with cut deltoids and biceps too :-) It's certainly better than jiggly arms distracting from the beauty of the music!

She could start a new "best arm exercise" craze! Learning to play the violin is an added benefit!lol! AMAZING!

Stop by & visit some pics of California Girl Surfers.

With love Little Sable

These photos look great, plus the set up between B&W and color is on point.

I bet New York has a lot of variety to take from. It literally and symbolically has a lot of color.

great lady !

Oh I don't think this is the violin, believe me I've seen a lot of violinists and photographed them this past year... This woman is working out... It's a bit too much for me, muscle wise, but I must say I'm a bit envious.

I like the view from the photos in immortalized

Ha, I love Carole's comment ('don't think this is the violin... this woman is working out') I love this shot (love them all, of course) but especially the moment you captured the intensity of her muscles.

I played violin in school. Never practiced, and I'm sure I was appalling (I really wanted to play clarinet, but they wouldn't let me.. probably because I had a slight lisp - health and safety). I also love her hair, and the pattern of her shirt, so crisp against the softer background. This shot looks like one of the masters - Weston, someone like that.

Hope all's well - haven't heard from you in a while - did you do the piece with Lizzy btw? xx
