Inspiration: After checking out Stonehenge, we drove to Salisbury to see the Cathedral. But as we drove, I made my sister stop the car several times so that I could take pictures along the way. I love the whiteness of the snow in these photographs. There's a sort of clean, minimalist purity that I like about wintertime. It's a theme that I am feeling lately, whether photographing snow or sand. I am finally appreciating the virtues of winter -- at least from a photographic point of view. I'll share a few images of the cathedral tomorrow. Until then . . . Have a great Wednesday.

The birds are so cute :)
Beautiful photos !!

Sometimes you just need to unclutter. For some reason, winter does that for me, mental and visual cleansing time as in nature. Which your photos show perfectly!

Absolutely beautiful. All of them. Especially the birds in the sky.

PD: you're in ENGLAND??!!! I had no idea because I've been in the English countryside without wifi (or rather, mum-in-law forgot her password). We weren't far from you - northern Herefordshire, even ventured into Shropshire. Isn't it magic! The snow's gone from London but when we left it was still there.
I'm having the same thing - all I want to do is post shots of nature and snow. I'm so glad you're having this experience: I've never seen England like this.
If you'd like to meet if you have time in London before you leave, just let me know. We could both wear ski masks and not reveal our real names.

p.s. In my shock on realising you're not in NY, I forgot to say how much I love each of these beautiful photos. Now on to the previous posts.

Did you finally get to wherever you were going in peace and in one piece? I imagine your poor sister must have rolled her eyes heavenward a million times because you kept halting proceedings to take pictures yet she wanted to get to wherever you were going.
they look great though. good for her.
p.s. it seems NY is snowed under and the airports are apparently closed. you're stuck here in good old Blighty. How nice!

As a big fan of white space in design, I absolutely LOVE these photographs. So calming . . . Nice job editing them, too. The order you placed them in really creates a beautiful story/rhythm.
