Postcards from triviality. It's all about the beholder, the eyes that see the scene and capture the moment, turning a snapshot into something else. The winter light and the monochromatic tone of the background, make the figures and the pier itself stand out.

Boy, does that bring back menories... sitting on Uncle Abe's lap an watching (with the binoculars) these guys and the el from the terrace.
