New York: 4th Avenue and 13th Street
Inspiration: I always find touching the look of a person waiting for something or someone. In fact, I am realizing that people waiting has become one of the themes of my work.

Great portrait. He doesn't seem to be afraid to me. Can't really describe his expression though.
How can you not like chocolate? I remember a quote though not who said it: "95% of the human population likes chocolate and the other 5% aren't telling the truth" ;-)

I don't think he was afraid. I think he was waiting for the bus and was probably wondering if he missed it. He looked at his watch a lot. I should have captured one of him looking at his watch.
As for chocolate . . . I don't hate it. I can eat it. I just don't ever yearn for it the way real chocolate lovers do. I like fruity candy.

Haha. So funny to read the reason for the startled look in his face and the interpretation I would have given. I would have thought he was shocked by something he saw at that moment. Nice snapshot though!

quick question. are we talking about chocolate? coz if we are, i too i'm not a chocoholic as some people i know (my sis always has a mars bar in her bag). i indulge a bit once in a while. but having said that, i think it seems to make the rest of the human race happy indeed.
back to the picture, i think he had missed his bus and was probably rushing home to catch re-runs of MASH.
great shot though.

I love the details in this! I love people watching, and I agree on the "waiting" it makes for interesting photos!
