New York: On the George Washington Bridge
Inspiration: He and I were all over the place yesterday, including New Jersey and Westchester. I am shopping for a car - a used 2008 or 2009. I haven't owned one in years and I am finally ready for the freedom (or lack thereof depending on your perspective) of having my own car. The thing I forgot about car ownership is the stress of actually buying one and the ickiness of used car dealers. The bait and switch, the lying on the internet, them telling you they have the car you saw but when you get there, it was magically sold and driven off the lot in the 10 minutes since you called. And so on. I did not get a car yesterday. In fact, yesterday was an experience in dejection. So the search continues. In any event, back to the photo. We were driving over the George Washington Bridge heading to another dealership when I took this with my little Canon G10. I love Manhattan's skyline and I photograph it whenever I have the opportunity.

That is beautiful.
Very inspirational.

Fantastic shot, the water structure is amazing. Sounds like you two had a "fabulous" day. This sounds really eww, especially since I will have this trouble too, probably in a few weeks. What kind of car do you want? A smart or a pickup? ;-)
I went looking for a bed yesterday and it wasn't exactely nice either. There are tons of different beds out there, but to find one that I like in my price category is hard work.
One thing I learned is that special design shops aren't exactly that expensive! I've been to a normal furniture dealer and the prices there were astonishing, especially considering the ugliness of the furniture. Give me a design shop any day.
But BFF and I had fun nonetheless, including pictures testing out the beds and some fantastic icecream.

The Manhattan skyline is beyond beautiful and you really have captured that!
Oh no. Car dealers really can be icky. But, I know everything will turn out okay.

It took us 2-3 months to find the right one. But that's the sacrifice, if you want the best for your money and also because we only had the weekends to actually go at the dealers. Goodluck with finding one. I love owning a car... "roadtrips!" :)
I love this photo looks like it goes on forever, NY has one of the best skylines, even though I've never been there it is so recognizable.

Misanthropic Pulp: Thank you!!
San: I am looking for an SUV. I remember shopping for furniture like it was yesterday. It took over a year to get everything I needed for my apt. Beds are hard because you really have to like them -- especially the mattress since you will be spending a 3rd of your life on it.
Zabrinah: Thanks for your good wishes about the car. I think it will too but I just have to persevere through the BS.
Morella: Thanks for your comment!
Biana: Wow -- 2-3 months? I am so hoping it doesn't take that long. We only have weekends too. And some dealerships aren't open on Sundays. Thanks for the good wishes.

Love this, it has a very nostalgic feel. I envy anyone that can get by without a car. Living in Texas, of course you have to have one, and it really gets old. Insurance, gas--blah, blah--anyway, good luck in finding yours!
