New York: Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Inspiration: When I saw this girl, I thought she exuded a great vibe - a friendly sort of confidence. I felt comfortable that she'd agree to a portrait shot. Also, I liked the "off the side" haircut. I considered asking her to remove her shades, but in the moment of setting up the shot, I changed my mind. They add mystery to an otherwise open and lovely face. I am including this shot in my portfolio for class today, along with a color version. Hopefully the class will see what I did. Or, better yet, something that I didn't.

Great portrait. Thanks for sharing.

This is a nice portrait! I love the cut on the side on her too. Your choice to let her keep the shades in the photo is great, it adds an edgyness (especially in combination with the sidecut). The colour photo's great too. Kudos!

hihi ... 1st, this is just a wonderful portrait - she is no natural - and you captured perfect part of it. i agree about shades part - just wish i could get a glimpse of you as well, haha!
2nd, life's been great! we've made some major changes, which explained my recent absence from blogsphere - i attempted several times to talk about it on my post - but quit in the mid-way = i think i'm not ready to reveal all yet - so i guess will wait till the right time to come!
i will be posting the creative process for the "droopy bubble tee dot I" on my portfolio site, will send you a link when i do it ... enjoy rest of your evening!!!

Very nice portrait. One of the rare times I think that the black and white version is more interesting than the colour version!
