New York: Washington Square Park

Inspiration: It's been hot as hell in New York these past few days. So hot that some of us could not help but jump into the nearest body of water (in this case, the fountain at Washington Square Park) to cool off.

Seeing these, made me think about my trip to Paris last year. It was soooo hot, I took of my sandals and put my feet in the cold fountain water in front of Louvre. It was so nice, I can imagine how he feels.

Ah, the weather.
When it's too cold, we complain, when it's too hot, we still complain.
But you gotta love it though, coz it makes for great conversation, especially in tense situations and for small talk.

Valentine - I've never been to Brussels, but last summer, when I was in Stockholm, I saw a bunch of people swimming in the nude or in underwear in a fountain in front of my hotel in Sodermalm - but I should point out that it was night time. For some reason, it's okay to swim in the fountain at Washington Square Park . . .

This reminds me of when I was a kid and used to jump in fountains with my friends on hot Summer days. It's nice to see people who can hold on to that childish spirit and just run in and get soaked!
