Is he photographing the ladies walking in the streets? A bit like you, then? ;-D
I am not sure I would have chosen to centre him on both pictures, but they work quite well.
Well done!

I love the attitude and swagger of New Yorkers. We never see such scenes in my neck of the woods. Everyone seeems to be so serious.
Love it!
P.S. Thank you so so much for the correction. I was in such a hurry for a flight to Basel that I didn't check. Just landed back in Geneva like 20 mins ago. oops!
It's all good now.

Thanks everyone! @Davidikus: I photographed him in the center because in this moment, he is the center of his world . . . That's what i was trying to convey.
@The Nyanzi Report: New Yorkers definitely have swagger, that is for sure!

You take some amazing photos! DOF is great and you motifs are really intereseting. I was curious to know what kind of lens you used for this shot, and do you have a favorite lens? I'm currently using my 50mm 1.4 all the time, but on the look out for my next lens purchase, so I need some inspiration =)
Posted by: Cathrine | June 23, 2010 at 08:05 AM
Hi Cathrine. Thanks for the compliment. For this I might have used an 85mm. I don't really have a favorite lens. I love each one of them for their own qualities. I have a 50mm, but I also love the 35mm, the 85mm, 135mm and a 70-200mm. The lens I use the least is probably my 24mm but I am sure that will change.
Posted by: The Photodiarist | June 23, 2010 at 06:28 PM
Thank you! I suppose it is hard to have a favorite, as all the lenses create different expressions. I'll just start saving to get a broad range!
I'll be following your blog for inspiration. Keep up the good work!
