New York: Union Square
Inspiration: I was heading home one evening last weekend when he stopped me for a photograph. I was a bit tired of raising the camera to my eye, but at the same time, I cannot resist a portrait shot. For the first five frames (all deleted on the spot), he gave me stiffest, most stilted poses. Even he agreed that they weren't good but then did the same thing again! I was about to give up on a good shot when he laughed suddenly, probably at the absurdity of it all. At that moment, I caught this wicked look. One we both liked.
yes, sometimes it's so hard to get the right shot... it seems that the person is right, the setting is right, even the light is right but something is just not working! glad it worked out for you :)

Liya - exactly!! In this case, he was posing and nothing real was coming through. Until he laughed and gave this somewhat wicked look!

I think you've gone through one of the difficult challenges of portrait photography. The end result is great, he looks creepy though. His hand in his pocket, still gives away he's sorta kinda posing this.
