Inspiration: "Just 'cause you're bigger doesn't mean you're better."
Under the watchful eyes of her Dad, this youngster showed no fear as she sat down to face one of Union Square's toughest chess buskers. This guy plays for a living and he takes no prisoners. But that didn't intimidate her. She stared him down as she held her own in this exciting and much viewed chess match. I didn't stay for the end but it doesn't matter who won. Her confidence was inspiring. It just goes to show that you cannot take little people for granted. They know a thing or two.

Whoa. Great pictures. Especially the look on her face in the first picture speaks volumes.
I wonder who won. And I wonder were she'll go
in life.
As always Thank You for Sharing. Have a great weekend.

This is a brace little girl! She really puts out het mean face, like she's saying "bring it on man!"
Like it, I myself am only 5'4" and my daily job is a male dominated world, I too have to put up my game face sometimes.. lol

I love this! I go to Bryant Park a lot and watch the chess players. It's incredible how the game brings such a diverse group of people together. This is why I love New York . . .

I would call this photo 'Taking on Goliath'. Competition seems to be her middle name.
