The first creeps me out, too, though its really interesting. Basking in the warmth of the sun is my favorite anytime activity :)

The second photo reminds me that I haven't took the time to read a book in a while... My life is way too busy for that. And the first photo... I admire those people for "sleeping" in the sun in public, I would be very uncomfortable doing that. I can't sleep in the daytime, feels like I'm missing out or something. Looking at these photos just reminds me I just have to sleep more, take it easy. Thanks for sharing...

to tell you the truth it looks like they aren't even in the sun. The shadows are very long and due to the dark background it looks as if the are lit by some artificial light. I love the way you make use of suck as a painters canvas and in this case the pages of the book to reflect the light back. Great work as always, Its always great to see your blog poping up on bloglovin

such beautiful photos, i live in the UK, so such sun and relaxation is a mere luxury=p

it seems as though the guys in the first shot have all the peace in the world. brings on a calming effect just by looking at it.
the girl in the shot is relaxing as well but i'm not so sure that reading in the sun is good for one's eyes unless there's a shade.

That first one is definitely wierd - good wierd... I think the black background makes the girl in front seem very isolated, and the fact that they are sleeping so peacefully adds even more "wierdness" to the scene.... ok so wierd is a weak word... perhaps too is that there seems to be activity in the background, but the viewer is not really sure what it is... we are trying to look in, and want to know more but someone "in" there is so unconcerned and couldnt care less.... really like this!!!!!

Wow..Grass is a comfortable bed.
It's a relaxing place.

Despite my previous rant on sunbathers (I may have gone overboard)*, I find the first shot very exciting. It reminds me of Elliot Erwitt.

* The fact your shots elicit such a strong reaction is good news anyhow! It means you have put your finger on something

The first photo looks really amazing; looks like unreal, like a movie set. Kinda Lynch atmosphere. Very special.

love both of these!!

Great captures...
