Inspiration: It has been raining for days. We've been listening to flood warnings on TV every morning this week. I am beginning to feel as though the sun will never shine in New York again! I mean . . . how much rain do we really need to make some flowers grow?
P.S. I got my wish. An hour after I posted this, the rain stopped and the sun came out! Yay.

Good question, but I fear that it doesn't work this way.
In any case, I really like this picture. It has an "old" feeling about it and even though there is no noise/grain it looks like it does.

Love all the greys in this. Wonderful. (Yes, very happy to see the sun and the forecasts for the next few days!)

Woo hoo! I know rain is good (I live in a dry state), but not really a fan of it...much prefer blue skies! :)

Great picture - especially because of the building fading away (I trust you use a japanese lens - perhaps you should try a lens with better bokeh?) - you remind of how much I actually LIKE the rain (would I be living in London, otherwise?)

Thanks David. I appreciate your comments. I take it you don't think this photo contains quality bokeh?:-) I use Canon L Lenses - so, yes, they are Japanese lenses. I love them and they provide phenomenal bokeh when I want bokeh (e.g. "Magnolia Heaven" in The Photodiarist In Color). In this photo, I wanted to capture the shapes of the buildings in the background because they make the shot for me. Didn't want them blurred out. As for rain, I like it because we need it. But not for days at a time.
Eugene: Thanks, man! I love that shine too.
Carole: I appreciate your visits so much. Thanks.
Valerie: Thank you. I am glad you think so. But at the end of the day, I am a sunshine girl.
Toronto V: Thanks for the comment!
B: me too!
C: I totally agree with you.
San: Thank you!

I like this picture. It feels great!
Is it strange to rain for days in New York? Because the weather becomes so weird recently. For example, in Hong Kong, this week may be very cold, next week may be very warm and wet, and next next week may be very hot.

I have no idea what bokeh is but you have loads of it! :)
This shot is one of my favorates. It looks like the ground is moving.
