New York: Union Square (1st and 5th); Metropolitan Museum of Art (2nd); 5th Avenue (3rd); Washington Square Park (4th); Central Park (6th and 7th).
Inspiration: In my mind, a few things represent each season. Spring means rain and beautiful flowers. When one thinks of Fall, one immediately imagines trees resplendent in turning leaves. Winter equals snow, cold dark days, and warm homes. Summer? Well, Summer means people. People living their lives outside as much as possible. Even super hot days can be made glorious on a beach. Or by rollerskating in Central Park. Or bathing in a fountain in Washington Square Park. Or lying around in Union Square. That's why I love this season so much. It makes me happy to see lots of people eating, playing, walking and lying around outside, unrestricted by heavy coats and boots, enjoying days that last until nights.

Oh, that's perfect! And I love your reason. You've already got the flowers in spring. Summer, especially in NY, is indeed the people come out. Like flowers, they blossom, and in winter they seem to go back underground. Hibernating.
